My interest in theatre began in the 7th grade when my mom took me to see Beauty and the Beast at Fair Park Music Hall, but the first time I actually worked on a play was in the 9th grade. I fell in love with theatre so much that there was no other option but to major in it. I attended Sam Houston State University and recieved my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre in 2006. After graduating, I spent some time in the business world, first as a receptionist and then as a customer service representative. By day, I would work and by night, I would perform in a couple of theatres around Dallas. I finally found a way to combine my passion and daytime work. For the past 5 years, I have taught theatre at Austin High School FBISD and I am happy to be going into my sixth year of teaching here at Fort Settlement. In addition to teaching, I love being a wife and mom. My husband teaches theatre at Dulles High School and we have one beautiful little girl, Avalynne. I enjoy going to see plays at The Alley, Miller Outdoor Theatre, TUTS, and anywhere I can. Contact Info: Classroom Phone: 281.634.4955 Click here for Email |
